Two formulas in the Vita-A range
Celimax’s silver-and-lime Vita-A range includes a Retinal Shot Tightening Booster and a Retinol Shot Tightening Serum. The booster combines retinal with Matrixyl in a 15 ml tube. The serum pairs retinol with a nine-peptide complex in a 30 ml bottle.
They share an evening-care focus on fine lines, texture and firmness, but the vitamin A ingredient and supporting peptide formula differ.

Retinal Booster and Retinol Serum compared
| Retinal Shot Tightening Booster | Retinol Shot Tightening Serum | |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin A | 0.1% retinal | 0.1% retinol |
| Peptides | 3% Matrixyl | Nine-peptide complex |
| Panthenol | 1% | 1% |
| Size | 15 ml tube | 30 ml bottle |
The matching 0.1% figure refers to a different vitamin A ingredient in each formula. It does not make the two products equivalent in strength.
Both formulas use A-Shot, Celimax’s fine-particle technology.
Introducing them into an evening routine
For someone new to retinol or retinal, Celimax recommends a small amount every other night for the first two weeks. If irritation occurs, reduce the amount or frequency and use a soothing moisturizer. Apply sunscreen the following morning.

Celimax recommends daily evening use once the skin has adjusted. Starting gradually gives you time to see how your skin responds before increasing the frequency.
For the moisturizing steps in a Celimax routine, there is also the Noni Energy Ampoule and the Dual Barrier toner, serum and cream range.
