On the 6th (local time), the Taiwanese beauty tech company 'Perfect Corporation' established its CES 2026 booth in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Visitors to the booth engaged with an AI chat window, asking, "Tell me my personal color," and uploaded a facial photo.

Within thirty seconds, the AI responded with "Spring Warm," a classification for warm-toned complexions characterized by ivory skin and brown eyes. Shortly after, the AI suggested flattering colors, hairstyles, and makeup techniques, allowing users to virtually apply multiple shades of cosmetics over their photos.

The company has developed augmented reality (AR) beauty simulation and AI skin analysis services.

"It answers any question, from skin diagnosis to customized cosmetic recommendations."

AI-Enhanced Beauty Tech

CES 2026 showcased numerous innovative beauty tech products. The healthcare zone at the Venetian Hotel unveiled skin care devices, AI beauty diagnostics, and masks made with new materials. Capitalizing on the popularity of K-beauty, domestic cosmetic and electronics companies also set up booths to display new technologies.

Beauty tech refers to cutting-edge technologies that integrate AI into beauty and skin care. While the beauty sector was once considered niche in the tech world, it has evolved into a core sector at CES by combining skin data, customized manufacturing, and advanced devices.

This year, interest in healthcare and advancements in image and video AI made beauty tech more sophisticated. Long lines formed at booths as visitors queued to test these innovations.

Key Innovations

The integration of AI and beauty tech emerged as a major trend:

  • iNuMe (Taiwan): A startup that developed a device to spray fine cosmetic particles onto the face. AI adjusts the spray intensity by measuring the distance to the face, dispersing droplets as small as 10 nanometers.
  • Amorepacific (South Korea): Unveiled 'SkinSight,' a platform co-developed with MIT researchers that analyzes the real-time causes of skin aging.
  • Dreame (China): Introduced a hair dryer equipped with a camera that captures the scalp during drying, allowing AI to diagnose scalp health and control heat.
  • Nugrows (Taiwan): Showcased a comb that activates scalp cells using LED light.
  • L’Oréal (France): Revealed a silicone-based LED mask resembling human skin. This ultra-thin, flexible device delivers light directly to the facial skin for care.

K-Beauty Sweeps CES Innovation Awards

South Korean companies made a significant impact with their advanced devices:

  • APR: Unveiled a beauty device combining multiple functions, such as elasticity care and absorption care, into a single unit.
  • Samsung Electronics: Introduced the 'AI Beauty Mirror,' which diagnoses skin conditions.
  • LG H&H: Won a CES Innovation Award for its 'Hyper Reviving Eye Patch.' This wearable utilizes LED technology and integrates proprietary skin diagnosis and customized ingredient prescription technologies.
  • Cosmax: Presented a device that uses AI to analyze skin and recommend cosmetic ingredients, manufacturing the product on the spot.
